Gravity-flow winery VILAVIN
A winery where modern technology meets respect for nature.
Gravity. Tradition. Sustainability.
Three pillars of our elegance.
Our wines stand on three values: tradition, which shapes us; gravity, which guides us; and sustainability, which is our commitment to the future.
“When tradition leans on gravity, sustainable mastery emerges.”
Thanks to gravity, the grapes, must, and young wine move gently and naturally. Interventions are minimized, forming the foundation for wines of the highest elegance.

Terroir
The winery stands on the solid foundations of its own vineyards. Across 27 hectares surrounding the villages of Dobré Pole and Novosedly, we cultivate our grapes with the utmost care.
The terroirs of Dobré Pole and Novosedly form the heart of the VILAVIN winery. They belong among the most precious sites in South Moravia — not only thanks to their calcareous soils, but also due to the rare salt marshes found only here. These unique conditions impart a distinctive minerality to the landscape and create an environment that is reflected in the character of the grapes and the wines themselves.

When the terroir decides and the expert confirms
The story of our wines undoubtedly begins in the vineyard. The selection of varieties for each plot was overseen by Professor Kraus himself, who considered the soil, location, and airflow throughout the year.
On three hills — seven vineyard sites with distinct terroirs — we cultivate a total of 25 hectares of our own vineyards, growing these eight varieties: Chardonnay, Pálava, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Zweigeltrebe, Gewürztraminer, and Grüner Veltliner.
